It’s finally here! Check out the official trailer of the new season of How to Get Away with Murder, which also confirms we’re getting a Coliver wedding. We’re just two weeks away from the season premiere!

Annalise selects students for her new legal clinic and juggles job offers from competing firms; the Keating 4 attempt to move on from last semester’s turmoil; a new mystery is introduced and it shakes things up for everyone.

TVLine has shared some first look photos and details on some returning and upcoming shows, and we got our first image from the new season of How to Get Away with Murder. We did miss that look on Connor! Don’t miss the season premiere on September 27th!

Season 5 of the ABC drama will have “a Season 1 vibe,” according to showrunner Pete Nowalk, in that Annalise will return to teaching and the series will revisit a Case of the Week format. “[The students] are in a third-year legal clinic, so they’ll get to try their own legal cases and be lawyers in the courtroom,” Nowalk tells us, adding that the Keating Four “have to compete to get into this clinic… and there might be one of our people who doesn’t get in.” Much of the season also will be dedicated to Gabriel Maddox, whose connection to Annalise & Co. “is probably our biggest mystery,” Nowalk shares. “He will factor in in a huge way, for all of the characters.” As for Laurel’s mommy issues, viewers “will get an answer in the premiere” about whether Sandrine is alive or dead, but the Murder writers are otherwise “happy to put aside Laurel’s family drama for a bit.” And, yes, the season premiere will feature another trademark flash-forward, which Nowalk confirms takes place at “a big party… and something bad happens there.”

BONUS SPOILER!: Now that Michaela and Asher have split up, seemingly for good, “there’s still [Scandal‘s] Marcus on Michaela’s mind,” Nowalk says. “We’ll find out what happens [between them] early in our season.”

DEADLINE – ABC has given a Season 5 pickup to its legal thriller drama How to Get Away With Murder. The renewal of the Shondaland drama was fully expected.

After the end of Scandal, HTGAWM is the second longest-running Shondaland series, and it’s well received, earning star Viola Davis top awards including an Emmy. Additionally, while a modest Live+Same Day performer (average 0.94 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.70 million viewers in Season 4, down by 28% and by 20%, respectively, compared to Season 3), it continues to be a big DVR gainer. Its Live+7 tally for Season 4 was 6.4 million viewers and a 2.0 in 18-49, ranking as ABC’s third highest-rated drama in the demo behind Grey’s Anatomy and The Good Doctor.

Starring Davis, Billy Brown, Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, Matt McGorry, Conrad Ricamora, Karla Souza, Charlie Weber and Liza Weil, How To Get Away With Murder revolves around the world of Middleton University Professor Annalise Keating (Davis). Murder, deception, fear and guilt bind her to her longtime associates and students. As the group struggles to move on following the death of one of their own, their past continues to haunt them.

Storylines have been resolved, while new ones have opened. We need an official Season 5 renewal announcement real soon! I have updated the gallery with high-quality stills and high-resolution screencaps from the season finale of How to Get Away with Murder.
